Whilst trying to stay fit, you may find that you need to lower your daily carb intake. Sadly, you seem to love all the food loaded with carbs! Despite I believe in lowering your carb intake will help in achieving best fitness results, I also believe in moderation.
I absolutely love pancakes (who doesn’t?), but a simple stack of normal pancakes can skyrocket your carb-intake levels to the top! That is why I wanted to share with you my favourite low-carb fluffy pancake recipe, that will not only give you the best nutritional value but will at the same time satisfy your cravings and keep you filled for hours!
Chocolatey Protein Pancakes!
Serves: 2
Time: 25min
Ingredients
2 medium bananas
4 eggs
2 scoops of your favourite chocolate-flavoured protein powder
1 ½ tsp of pure cacao powder
1 tsp of maca root powder
¼ tsp baking powder
Instructions
Break the eggs in a bowl to make sure that there no shell pieces, before these are mixed with the rest of the ingredients
Mash the bananas with a fork in a separate bowl
Place the mashed bananas, the eggs and the rest of the ingredients (protein, cacao, maca, and baking powder) in a mixer, and mix until smooth
Heat a skillet over low heat. Take a medium sized ladle and take ½ a scoop with it from the mixture for each pancake. Pour one by one each mixture scoop on the skillet. Cook for 60-90 seconds on one side, the flip it with a spatula and cook for another 60-90 seconds. When ready, take off the heat and repeat for each pancake.
Serve immediately while warm
Topping ideas (preferred topping is honey, to keep it healthy!)

Organic no added sugar or salt Peanut butter (I use ‘Whole Earth’ peanut butter)

Storing
You can keep these pancakes refrigerated for up to 2 days! I personally make double the portion, to take some with me to have on the go, during busy days
